The Trust is very keen to add new governors to the Council of Governors, from a number of different areas across Tameside and Glossop. Our governors play a crucial role in representing their local communities and we are looking for enthusiastic individuals, representative of our community, to submit their application.
Governors are elected by our members for a three-year term and can be re-elected for up to 9 years in total. Governors are required to give some of their time to attend meetings and participate in some Trust activities. A governor position is voluntary and you must live in the area you are applying to represent and be a member of the organisation. You can become a member of the Trust and find out more about the role of our governors on the Trust website.
Nominations are now open. You can find out more and submit your nomination online. Nominations close on Tuesday 16 April.
