Our team provide evidence-based diagnostic services, treatment initiation and ongoing support for patients with a variety of inflammatory musculoskeletal (MSK) disease and systemic autoimmune conditions commonly referred to as rheumatic diseases.

Patients are followed up, as indicated, in medical-led, specialist nurse-led and pharmacist-led outpatient clinics.

Ward patients can also be seen for rheumatology reviews.

We work closely with specialist rheumatology physiotherapy as well as orthotics, podiatry and other medical specialties. We also have close working links with MSK ultrasound at Tameside General Hospital and have a weekly multidisciplinary team meeting.

We provide an advice line service, and an answerphone message can be left 24 hours a day and will be responded to by a member of our team within 3-5 working days. Contact details can be found in the 'Contact us' section.

We work closely with GPs and other providers to ensure quality, personalised care for our patients.

Our team is comprised of consultants, specialist nurses and specialist pharmacists.

To discuss your next appointment, please call the appointment line on 0161 922 6911.
