Neurology services that are delivered at the Tameside Hospital site are provided by the specialist team based at Salford Royal Hospital. The neurology consultants from Salford undertake outpatient clinics at Tameside Hospital to help reduce the need for residents in this area to travel to Salford Royal Hospital, although for some patients this may still be necessary.
The booking and management of appointments for this service is carried out by Salford Royal Hospital and therefore whilst Tameside and Glossop Integrated Care NHS FT does host the neurology service it is not responsible for providing and managing neurology appointments.
