As the official charity of Tameside & Glossop IC NHS Foundation Trust, we support our staff, patients and their families who are receiving care from Tameside Hospital and in our community settings.

Tameside & Glossop IC NHS Foundation Trust is the heart of our amazing, diverse community. Our hospital and community services provide care for a population of around 250,000 and are there for us all from day one of our lives and throughout.

Your support helps us to enhance patient and staff experience across our sites, whilst making a meaningful difference to our local community. By supporting us, you are helping to provide care packages, run wellbeing support initiatives, as well as funding extra, new and exciting equipment. You are truly making a lasting impact in Tameside and Glossop.

Thanks to the generosity and support of our local community, we are able to fund a wide variety of initiatives, projects and equipment across the trust. This makes a real difference to our patients and staff every day.

Recently we have funded lots of amazing things, including:

  • A picnic bench with wheelchair access, which allows staff to relax in an outside space

  • Rempod LCD fish tanks to improve patient experience on ward 41

  • Apple blossom artwork in the Critical Care Unit that honours and remembers local organ and tissue donors

  • High backed chairs to improve comfort for parents, especially for nursing mums and children post-surgery

  • Breast cancer paradise pillows which make a great difference to patient comfort while the patient is recovering from surgery

Set up a tribute page for your loved one

We work in partnership MuchLoved, the UK's leading in-memory platform, to provide a free tribute service where you can remember someone special, and fundraise in their memory. You can create a special, personalised tribute page for your loved one, where you can share memories, photos, stories, music and videos to celebrate their life, as well as donate to our work in their honour.

You can create your tribute page here and when asked, just add our charity number (1055818). Your loved one’s page will then be linked through to us.

We are here to support you every step of the way, so please let us know if you need any help or support.

Funeral collections

If you wish to support the charity in lieu of flowers at a loved one’s funeral, your funeral director will usually help with this.

Just let them know the full name of our charity (Tameside & Glossop IC NHS Foundation Trust Charitable Funds) and the charity number - 1055818. Let us know if you need any more information or help.
